PRIVACY STATEMENT
This Privacy Statement (the “Statement”) explains how Woohoo Rides Transportainments, Inc. (the “Company”), owner and operator of WooHoo Rides (the “App”), a ride-share and entertainment transportation mobile application which serves as a portal and facilitator for customers to find, access, book, and use a variety of third-party ride-share services, protects and uses your information. This Statement is designed to keep you informed regarding your use of the App as well as what happens to the information you and other parties provide to the Company by using the App. This Statement applies to all of the services provided by the Company (collectively, the “Services”),. The Company reserves the right to modify this Statement at any time. The Company will notify you of any material changes to the Statement by positing the modified Statement at https://woohoorides.com/privacy-policy and changing the Effective Date. This Statement is fully incorporated into the Company’s General Terms and Conditions Agreement. By using the App and/or the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Statement or any modified Statement, as posted. 1. What information is collected?
The Company does not collect personally identifiable information except where you specifically provide it with such information. With your consent, the Company may collect your full name, company name, web address, telephone number, physical location, and other contact information. The Company may also collect credit card information from you. The Company generally collects this personal information on its registration and order forms when you sign up for the App and/or when you receive the Services. Aggregate technical information (i.e., IP addresses, screen resolution, browser language, etc.) and anonymous demographic information (i.e., your postal or zip code, the website that you came from, etc.) is collected during your usage of the App. The Services that the Company provides are focused on the provision and maintenance of ride-share and entertainment transportation services and logistics. In the provision of the Services, certain data may be collected, including information relating to your use of the App, location, contact information, point of origin, point of destination, online traffic, and other important datasets. If you use the App and/or obtain the Services, you are agreeing to provide the Company with this important and sensitive information without any compensation. If you do not wish to provide this important sensitive information to the Company, do not use or access the App and/or the Services.
2. How is the information collected?
You provide the Company with certain information when you use the App and/or the Services. Information will be collected throughout your interaction with the App.
3. What is done with the information collected?
The Company uses your information, including personal information, in order to prevent fraudulent transactions, to prevent unauthorized access to your account, to improve the content of the App in order to enhance your experience, to improve the Services, to contact you when necessary, and if you have consented and you have not withdrawn your consent, to contact you with marketing communications in relation to the Services (see Section 7, Direct Marketing below). Whenever possible, the Company uses non-identifiable information (i.e., IP addresses and anonymous demographic information) rather than personal information. Non-identifiable information is used to tailor your experiences with the App and the Services by showing content in which the Company thinks you will be interested and by displaying content according to your preferences. The Company may use aggregate data for a variety of purposes, including analyzing user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in (and use of) various features of the App. The Company also uses the information collected to evaluate and improve the Services.
4. How is information shared with third-parties?
The Company works with third-party companies who help the Company provide and improve the App and/or the Services. The third-party companies may use information provided by the Company for advertising of third-party products and/or services. None of the information the Company shares with third-parties contains information that personally identifies you (i.e., your company name, email address, and contact information). The Company may provide third-parties with information relating to your use of the App and/or the Services. By using the App and/or the Services, you are giving the Company the consent to share your information with third-parties. If you do not wish the Company to disclose this information to third-parties, do not use or access the App and/or the Services. The Company may also disclose your information in special cases if required to do so by law, court order, or other governmental authority, or when it believes, in good faith, that disclosing this information is otherwise necessary or advisable, such as to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to – or interfering with – the rights or property of the Company, the App, the Services, another user, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities (e.g., identity theft or fraud).
5. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
The Company does not market to, nor seek, users under the age of thirteen (13). Information discovered to contain personally identifiable information on an individual under the age of thirteen (13) will be immediately purged and never shared with third-parties.
6. California Users
If you reside in California and have provided your personal information to the Company, you may request information about the Company’s disclosures of certain categories of personal information to third-parties for direct marketing purposes. Such requests must be submitted to the Company at: [email protected]. Within thirty (30) days of receiving such a request, the Company will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third-parties for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third-parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. The Company reserves its right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the address specified in this paragraph. Notwithstanding any other provision herein this Statement, the Company may also engage a data provider who may collect web log data from you (including IP address and information about your browser or operating system), or place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser to enable you to receive customized ads and/or content. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information. The cookies may reflect de-identified demographic or other data linked to data you voluntarily have submitted to the Company (e.g., your email address), that the Company may share with a data provider solely in hashed, non-human readable form. 7. Direct Marketing
With your consent, the Company and/or its affiliate companies may sometimes contact you (by email, SMS text, letter or phone) in order to provide targeted marketing about the App, the Services, or the affiliate companies’ services (as the case may be). Such marketing communications will only be sent to you if you have given your consent when you accessed the App and/or registered for the Services and have not withdrawn such consent. All marketing e-mails that you receive from the Company and/or its affiliates will include specific instructions on how to unsubscribe, and you may unsubscribe at any time. 8. What are cookies and how are they used by the Company?
A cookie is simply a tiny text file containing pieces of data, stored when you visit a website. It is designed to help websites remember what you did in the past as long as the cookie is valid. This can include whether you clicked on particular links or pages or read pages on the site. To fully comply with the applicable regulations, the Company has detailed the cookies used on its website for you to decide whether you would like to (i) keep using them, or (ii) delete them, or (iii) disable them on the Company’s websites altogether. Necessary Cookies:
These are essential cookies that let you to use the App and its features depending on the device you are using (i.e., language, screen performances, OS, etc.). Without them, the quality of your navigation could not be ensured. These cookies do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing or storing your history on the internet.
Performance Cookies:
These collect information about how you use a website (e.g., which pages you go to most often, and if you get error messages). They do not collect information that identifies you. All of the information is anonymous. It is used only to improve how the website works and how the Company can provide you with more relevant content and Services.
Third-Party Cookies:
A third-party cookie is set by someone other than the Company. Sometimes targeting cookies are linked to other sites, such as Facebook. The issue and the use of cookies by third-parties are subject to the protection of the privacy policies of these third-parties. The Company informs you of the purpose of cookies, and you have to make the previously referenced choices regarding the cookies. If you decide you are not happy with the use of cookies on the App, you can easily delete them from the cookie folder of your browser. You can also set your browser to block cookies or to send a warning notice before a cookie is stored on your computer. 9. How long is information retained?
Different information is used for different purposes and is subject to different standards and regulations. In general, information is retained for such period of time as is felt necessary to provide you with the Services requested, to comply with applicable regulations or legislation, and to ensure that you have a reasonable opportunity to access the information. 10. Is the App secure?
The Company takes necessary precautions to maintain the data security of the App and the information collected through the App based on the nature of the data and the risks posed by the Company’s processing thereof. The Company takes necessary precautions to prevent the App and the information collected through the App from being impaired, damaged, or having unauthorized third-parties obtain access thereto (i.e., physical security of the Company’s premises and authentication procedures for the Company’s clients (e.g., personal and secure access using confidential identifiers, passwords, logins, encryption, etc.)).
