From the moment they make a reservation to the moment they step out of one of our vehicles, our customers can trust that they will be taken care of and treated with the utmost respect and care.

We also believe in supporting our local communities and building meaningful relationships with our providers and partners. We understand the importance of collaboration and strive to create a network of like-minded individuals and businesses who share our passion for creating joy and happiness.

WooHoo Rides has a wild and resilient history that's worth sharing. It all started in 2016 when founder Julie Green was studying computer science at the University of New Orleans. To make ends meet, she took a job pedicabbing. Julie is a serial entrepreneur, always looking for business ideas to explore and test. She quickly added lights and sound to her pedicab and created a unique and unforgettable experience for her customers.

In 2018, Julie formed an experimental company called Transportainments with a goal to facilitate reservations for unique and unusual vehicles. After a handful of experiments, she found that the marketplace app model was the best fit for the business. The company was growing, but then Covid hit. Instead of giving up, Julie shifted her focus to helping others by receiving PPP gear donations and designing walk-up Covid testing sites for a non-profit called CORE.

In 2021, Julie was rebooting Transportainments when she got a cease and desist letter for the company's name. Oops! After struggling to find a new name, WooHoo Rides emerged. Investors and mentors came forth, and the co-founding team was complete and rocking it!

The MVP launched in Beta in July 2022 and opened for public use in August. By November, WooHoo Rides had a presence in nine states. It's been a wild ride full of hurricanes, fires, and Covid, but the WooHoo Rides team is resilient and committed to bringing joy to their customers.

WooHoo Rides is a FOR PROGRESS COMPANY! This initiative was created by The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs for Sustainable Development. At WooHoo Rides, we support all the Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG). We are especially focused on Gender Equality, and Decent Work & Economic Growth. By keeping track of iKPI's for the Proportion of Women in Managerial Roles, Increasing the Number of Registered Businesses, and Reduction of Informal Employment Rates, WooHoo Rides aims to intentionally progress these agendas in a meaningful way.
